Marbella

Marbella is a city in the southern part of Spain between Malaga and the strait of Gibraltar. It is located at the foothills of the Sierra Blanca and the mountains create a microclimate with a pleasant average temperature all year around. History tells us that there was a settlement in Marbella already in 7th century BC.

In modern times Marbella was put on the map in the 1940s by Ricardo Soriano and Prince Alfonso de Hohenlohe who fell in love with the place and bought an old farmhouse that later became the legendary Marbella Club. This became the center of gravity for glamorous and cosmopolitan people from all over the world. Today Marbella Club is one of the best hotels and its bar and restaurant are definitely worth a visit.

Marbella remains a meeting point for people of all nationalities and is a center for spending a good time with great restaurants, sports and beautiful beaches. Marbella is easily reached from the airport of Malaga where you find taxis as well as buses and be in Marbella in less than an hour.
